Does it hurt?
Most clients who have gotten ombré brows report a pinching or stinging sensation; very minor compared to getting a regular tattoo. Keep in mind that a topical numbing cream will be applied during your procedure.
How long does it last?
Depending on your lifestyle and skin type, ombré brows may last 2-5 years with proper care. For best and long lasting results, it is required that you get a touch up 4 weeks after your initial procedure.
How long is the appointment?
The procedure may take up to 3-4 hours. Most of this time is spent on mapping your brows and the numbing process.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
In the week before your appointment, please avoid blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol or using retinol creams. You may come with/without makeup; however, your brows will be wiped clean with an alcohol pad to begin the procedure. Be prepared to have before and after pictures taken. :)
How long does it take to heal?
The process takes about 4-6 weeks to completely heal. During this time, you will likely experience the following stages: brow pigment will appear much darker the next 2-3 days, you may then experience mild scabbing and peeling after the first week. Once your brows are done peeling, they may appear to be fading away, but (no worries) the color/pigment should finally come back within the last week of the healing process.
What is the aftercare?
Stay out of the sun and water while your brows heal. Please avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and any activities that may cause excessive sweating; they may cause your color to fade. It is recommend to apply a small amount of the ointment or aftercare cream provided to you twice a day.
